We are excited to see that we have had 462 active volunteers participate in opportunities across GNRC programs who contributed a total of 4223.96 volunteer hours. Thank you for your service to the community!

We welcomed 204 new users to the volunteer portal and one new community partner, Community Life Ride, who operates a senior ride program in Sumner County. Join me in giving them some love and check out their opportunities to volunteer. Welcome!

You have been busy writing 5,862 letters to seniors and disabled individuals in nursing homes and assisted living facilities across Middle Tennessee in the first quarter of 2022 for a grant total of 47,460 letters by March 31st, since the inception of the Letter Campaign in April 2020. Thank you for all your kind words and heartfelt messages to our seniors.

We have been excited to bring our Friendly Visitors for the Guardianship Program back in this first quarter. The visits to our clients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities are so important for the mental well being of our clients. We are also grateful to the wonderful volunteers who have handmade blankets, bibs, walker bags and sensory mazes for our clients. They are greatly appreciated. You can see a picture with some of our staff holding up the goodies below. Volunteer with the program have conducted 53 friendly visits to our clients and donated a total of 168.15 volunteer hours to the program.
GNRC's Medicare Counseling Volunteers have provided counseling to 1,953 clients in the first quarter - helping them make sense of their health insurance options. Volunteers with the program donated a total of 2,362.6 volunteer hours providing counseling, giving presentations, entering data and helping with social media and mail outs. Thank you!
