Friendly Visitor and Friendly Neighbor Programs
Friendly Visitors with the Guardianship ProgramandFriendly Neighborsprovide meaningful connection, compassion, and companionship to clients across our communities. In Q2,13 volunteersmade61visitsto14clients, contributing112.15 hoursof service. Through their consistent visits, volunteers helped reduce isolation and brought comfort and companionship to our neighbors.
Medicare Counseling Program
Throughout the year, Medicare volunteers not only counsel beneficiaries one-on-one, but also deliver presentations, visit senior centers, attend outreach events, all to ensure beneficiaries receive free, fair, and unbiased informationto make confident Medicare decisions.
Gave16community presentationsthat reached371 peoplewho learned how to make informed decisions about their Medicare options.
Staffed30 eventsand reached1,496 people.
Translated and recorded the Medicare 101 presentation into Spanish to make it accessible for more people. Thank you, Sarah!
Letter Writing Campaign
Your letters continue to brighten lives across Middle Tennessee! In Q2, we sent2,964 letters,offering encouragement and connection tonursing home and assisted living facility residents. Since launching the campaign in April 2020, we've now reached a grand total of135,977letters sent!Your words truly help older adults and disabled individuals feel seen and cared for, one letter at a time! Thank you!
Admin & Communications Volunteers
Our Admin & Communications volunteers support GNRC in countless ways behind the scenes including shredding documents, preparing mailings, assembling goodie bags for events, and creating graphics and content for social media.
