Global Volunteer Month is a worldwide initiative each April to promote volunteerism and thank everyone who makes their community better through volunteering.

We know you are awesome, and we'd love to encourage you to share your volunteer stories this month and tag us, so we may inspire more people to step into volunteering.

DO GOOD for a chance to win a gift card in April!

Get ready to make a difference and be rewarded for your Good Deeds! We're thrilled to invite you again this year to join us in spreading positivity through your service to others.

For the entire month of April anyone who logs volunteer hours in our volunteer portal will be automatically entered for a chance to win a gift card! Every Wednesday, we'll be drawing TWO lucky volunteers, providing numerous opportunities to win.

Who can participate?

Anyone can, so don't keep this exciting opportunity to yourself - share it with all your friends! Let's make April a month filled with meaningful volunteering and the chance to win fantastic prizes!

When can I win?

Drawings for two gifts cards valued at $25 will take place on April 9th,16th, 23rd and 30th, 2025. Any hours submitted must have taken place during the month of April 2025. 

What volunteer opportunities are eligible?

You can sign up and volunteer for any of the opportunities listed on GNRC's Volunteer portal at gnrc.org/volunteer or through one of our partner agencies featured on the portal. 

Additionally, we've created a special volunteer opportunity for Global Volunteer Month. If you'd like to organize your own volunteer event or engage in individual acts of service, you can sign up and log your hours under this opportunity. When logging your hours, please include a note describing the activity you participated in.

How do I log my hours?

To log your volunteer hours, you will first need to sign up and create an account in GNRC's volunteer portal. Once you have created your account you can respond to any of the volunteer opportunities and then you will be able to go to add hours in the top and log hours associated with any opportunities that you have registered for.

How do I get notified if I win?

Winners will be announced in the newsletters that go out on April 9th,16th,23rd and 30th, 2025.

We will also reach out to each winner individually with the contact information available in your volunteer profile between April 30th and May 2nd, 2025 to confirm the email to deliver the gift card to. Please respond to that email within 48 hours to claim your prize.
