Many of those volunteer hours were spent writing letters to seniors and disabled individuals in nursing homes and assisted living facilities across Middle Tennessee. You put your heart into writing 3,464 letters sharing about your life and encouraging the seniors in our community, bringing smiles to their faces through your funny stories, quotes, and artwork. With those 3,464 letters, you helped us reach the milestone of now over 50,000 letters sent since we started this opportunity in April of 2020. Phenomenal!!

For several corporate teams, the letter writing campaign has been a great way to come together and do some team building while sharing the love with seniors in the community. Here are a few pictures of some happy letter writers . Thank you for your continued participation in this lovely and uplifting opportunity!

Our Friendly Visitors with the Guardianship for the Elderly Program were able to start visits again in February of this year. In the second quarter of 2022, eleven friendly visitors made 62 visits to their assigned clients, connecting with them, talking, listening, and bringing anything out of the ordinary to the attention of GNRC's Public Conservators for problem resolution. Volunteers make all the difference in the lives of our clients who for the most part don't have any or many regular visitors.

In addition to some of the larger programs mentioned, we have also had volunteers assist with administrative tasks around the office. We had Communications volunteers help to create visually appealing graphics and social media content, and we have a skilled photographer who spent around 45 hours taking pictures around Sumner County in preparation for an upcoming publication for the County. Thank you for your service! Please remember to follow us on social media @thegnrc. We regularly post content to showcase what our volunteers have been doing in our communities. We are grateful for every share, like, and recommendation. Your referral means the world to us! Thank you for choosing to share your time and talent with us and making a difference in your community this quarter! We can't wait to see what we can accomplish together next!
Warmly,
REBECCA NOFI
