Summertime is here!

We hope your summer is off to a great start and hope you are staying cool during this recent heatwave! Take a moment to beat the heat and explore ways you can serve in your communities this summer! We have added several volunteer opportunities below so make sure to check them out. Keep reading to see what we've been up to, how you can get involved, and how you can provide important feedback to make your volunteer experience even better. Please note that our offices will be closed on July 4th for Independence Day.

We Hit a Milestone!

We are pleased to announce that GNRC's letter campaign to seniors and disabled individuals has reached the milestone of 50,000 letters sent! We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who has participated in our letter-writing campaign and who has shared this opportunity with others. One letter at a time you have made the recipients feel more loved and connected to their community. Thank you for giving those smiles and spreading kindness!

Let Us Know How We're Doing!

We would love to hear from you about your volunteer experience with GNRC so we can continue to make improvements to the program. We have created a short survey so you can let us know what you think. The survey also gives you an opportunity to share any fun, inspirational or meaningful moments from your volunteer journey. Encourage your friends to complete the survey as well if you have volunteered together.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

We are excited to have had the opportunity to chat with Martha about her volunteer experience as a "Friendly Visitor" with the Guardianship for the Elderly Program. Read her interview below to learn more about the opportunity and how Martha is directly making an impact with her clients. If this sounds like a fun opportunity to you, feel free to reach out to Rebecca at rnofi@gnrc.org. We are currently looking for Friendly Visitors for the Guardianship Program in the Clarksville, Palmyra, Erin, Waverly, and Murfreesboro areas.

Make sure to follow us on social media @theGNRC and help us get the word out about what we do by liking and sharing our posts. Thank you!
