We are excited to share with you the volunteer impact with GNRC volunteer opportunities in the first quarter of 2023. We hope seeing the overall impact will inspire you and encourage you on your own volunteer journey. Collectively anything is possible.
We were excited to add 265 new users to the volunteer portal. Welcome to our new volunteers! We are excited to have you be part of one of GNRC's opportunities or see you volunteer with one of the partner agencies on the platform.
GNRC had 332 active individual volunteers in the first quarter, who gave 4,670 hours of their most precious resource - time. Thank you so much for spending your time doing good with us!
GNRC's Medicare Counseling volunteers have been busy presenting and staffing 21 events to share about the Medicare Counseling program and other resources and programs available to Middle Tennesseans through GNRC. Thank you for providing this advocacy for the program. Because of you more people can learn and benefit from the services and programs available to support older adults and those with disabilities.
Medicare volunteers also counseled 1,425 individuals one-on-one. Providing valuable information, comparisons, and resources to older adults. Thank you for making sense of the Medicare jungle for these individuals.
GNRC's letter campaign continues strong with immense volunteer support. We are pleased to report that 1,839 individuals received 7,228 letters in the first quarter! Thank you for spreading joy and kindness and uplifting seniors and disabled individuals through your letters! To date, we are close to sending 75,000 letters since the campaign started in April 2020. Incredible!!!
GNRC's 12 Friendly Visitors have made 58 visits to their assigned clients from the Guardianship program in the first quarter. Thank you to all of you for providing social connection and friendship to our clients which leads to better overall care for our clients.
It has been nice to have volunteers in our new office, helping us get settled in and organized. You made this process of settling into our new space so much easier! We have also had four volunteers assist with a project for our legal team! Thank you for the 173 hours spent scanning, auditing, and cataloguing. Jewell, Alicia, Margaret, and Jeanne - you are incredible!
